Abhishek Yadav’s Path to Success: Balancing Education, Writing, and Social Work
Born in a small village called Shahganj, in the Dhamaul Panchayat of Arwal district, Bihar, Abhishek Yadav has led an inspiring life full of determination, learning, and resilience. Despite his humble beginnings, his journey reflects the tale of a young man committed to not only his education and personal growth but also his passion for writing, social service, and contributing positively to society.
A Childhood Rooted in Discipline and Values
Abhishek was born on November 28, 2002, to a middle-class family. His father, Ajay Kumar, served in the Indian Army, which instilled discipline and a sense of patriotism in him from an early age. His mother, Seeman Devi, a homemaker, was the emotional core of the family, providing support and nurturing the dreams of her children. Growing up in such an environment, Abhishek learned early on the values of hard work, commitment, and empathy. As the second child in the family, with an elder sister, Sugandha, he shared a close bond with his siblings.
Abhishek spent his initial six years in Shahganj village, where his educational journey began in a local coaching school run by “Taara Miss.” It was here that he learned the fundamentals of education, from the national anthem to English alphabets. But soon, his family moved to Punjab due to his father's army postings, marking the start of Abhishek's diverse school experiences.
A Shifting Educational Landscape: From Punjab to Bihar
After relocating to Punjab, Abhishek continued his schooling at Brightway Holy Innocent School in Amritsar and later at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Bhatinda Cantt. The move from a small village to larger cities opened his eyes to different perspectives and teaching methodologies, but it also posed its challenges. Despite the constant shifts in location, Abhishek adapted well, maintaining his academic discipline while nurturing his love for cricket, which became one of his main hobbies.
However, life brought his family back to Bihar due to some family-related reasons, and Abhishek completed the rest of his schooling from Class 3 to Class 12 at Pratibha Pallavan Public School in Jehanabad, Bihar. During this period, he emerged as a bright student, though he humbly admits that he was not the brightest. He enjoyed his school life, balancing his studies with extracurricular activities and cricket.
A Glorious Academic Achievement
One of the most defining moments of Abhishek’s school life came in 2018, during his Class 10 CBSE board exams. With relentless dedication, Abhishek scored an impressive 94%, earning him a spot among the toppers in his district. This academic achievement was recognized by the district authorities, and Abhishek was felicitated by Dr. Ghosh, the then District Magistrate (DM) of Jehanabad. The recognition fueled his aspirations and boosted his confidence, pushing him to aim higher in life.
A Rollercoaster of Emotions: Patna and the IIT Dream
After his Class 10 success, Abhishek moved to Patna, the capital of Bihar, to prepare for the IIT-JEE entrance exam. He enrolled in an institute called Parth Ashram in Kankarbagh after being selected through a talent hunt for the prestigious Rankers Batch, a batch known for producing top IIT candidates. But despite the academic rigor and competitive environment, Abhishek faced an unexpected emotional challenge.
Being in a new city, away from the familiar warmth of home, he began feeling lonely and isolated. This phase led him into a bout of depression, a time he recalls as one of the most difficult periods in his life. However, with time, self-reflection, and the support of friends and family, Abhishek was able to pull himself out of that emotional turmoil. Although he successfully completed his IIT-JEE preparation, the experience led him to reevaluate his passions and career path.
Shifting Interests: A Love for Literature
As he transitioned into his college years, Abhishek found himself losing interest in engineering. What had once seemed like the ultimate goal was no longer fulfilling. Instead, he discovered a newfound love for reading and writing. He began to write poetry on love and life, as well as articles on social issues. This creative outlet helped him deal with his emotions and gave him a new purpose.
Though he ultimately pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, his heart had moved toward literature. His college years were filled with introspection, and he began to dream of a future where he could pursue his passion for writing professionally.
Building a Future in Writing and Social Service
Abhishek’s journey has not been solely focused on academics. Throughout his life, he has nurtured a desire to give back to the community. He dreams of starting an NGO in the near future, one that would provide help to those in need, particularly in his hometown. This desire for social service stems from his upbringing and his belief in empathy, kindness, and the value of supporting others.
In addition to his charitable aspirations, Abhishek is focused on making a mark as a writer. His interests in poetry, literature, and social commentary have continued to grow, and he is actively working on developing his craft. He plans to publish a book soon, a project that has been close to his heart for some time.
